Default BT named worst customer service provider

A survey of 5,000 people revealed that BT had the worst customer service in the UK. The complaints against the company were numerous and ranged from products to service to rude customer service staff.

I heard that BT was twice as bad as the second company on the list, British Gas.

Yup, OnePoll.com, the research firm behind the survey said that BT was far worse than BT.

Sky, Virgin Media and Vodfone are also in the list. Seems like lots of telecoms are on it

Am surprised HSBC is on the list, I've had great experience with them. But then again, I've only called them to activate a pre-approved card.

To be fair to the companies on the list, people are turned off by the automated systems which makes it take longer to get a live person on the phone.

Well, but the next big pet peeve was to have to be passed around and repeat yourself so many times. this is something that most companies can remedy just by training their staff well enough to know all aspects of business or to know where to forward a call

The study also found that English proficiency is a must for call centers and courtesy should be observed. Customers need to talk to somebody who can understand them and who they can understand.

BT is far worse because not only do they have rude staff, but you also have to wait so long before your call gets answered, if at all!
