The bad news is that only a fifth of all radio listeners are tuned in via digital. And the government would want that to be increased to 50% 2 years before the actual switchover happens. That means that if everything goes to plan, we should have around half of radio listeners on digital by 2013!

I think it's not too much of a problem, considering that you can get a digital radio now for less than 50 quids. Last Christmas season, more than 500,000 units were sold. There are supposed to be 10.5 million digital radios in the country right now.
