Yeah, that's right. I remember thinking back then that Sky was playing dirty, and was relieved that people raised antitrust concerns against them. And frankly, if they lose money because of that tactic, then I would have to say... SERVES THEM RIGHT!

Well, that is one course. They could also go and appeal it further to the Supreme Court. But they have to act fast because there is a 28-day deadline for the appeal.

This could very well open the bids for the ITV shares held by Sky, and from what I heard, one of the most interested party is Channel Five.

I don't think Five would do ITV good. They are both in the same boat, rocky waters and all. I don't think Five could give ITV the funding it can get from Sky if worse comes to worst!

I agree. Five has problems of its own. They, like ITV, also had to cut jobs and cut their programming budgets. What's more both companies' stock prices have taken a plunge.

I don't think that Sky would have problems with selling the 10% shares it has to sell. For one, Sky has already adjusted its books for the lower ITV valuation. Besides, they stand to get around GBP225 million from the sale...
